An Iffy Day with the New Lens

It was my first proper day out with my new Nikon 50mm F1.8 and I didn't do too well. I have to focus manually and it's really difficult to get things good quickly. I've put these images up for two reasons:

A) They are interesting

B) For me to look back at in 6 months time to see how I've improved.

Julia doesn't like getting her piccie taken. I did F1.4 here. Her back was pin sharp, face was a wee bit blurry!
